Annual Departmental Report for the Courts of Justice Division – 2008
The Annual Departmental Report for the Courts of Justice Division - 2008 is a report highlighting the workings of the four Departments falling under the Courts of Justice Division. It is an official account of factual and relevant activities carried out by the Division and include issues of public interest. The reports of all Government Ministries are posted on the Public Service Intranet at http://intra.gov.mt in the section titled Library.
Expression of interest: Preparation of Marketing Package which will form part of a brief marketing campaign aimed at a select targeted international audience.
The Training Academy was officially launched on the 30th April, 2002 by the Minister responsible for Justice. The role and functions of the Academy were further strengthened in 2005 by EU funding acquired through the Transition Facility Programme. It now conducts its activities from an office, a fully equipped Training Room and a web site. Since its inception, the Training Academy has been instrumental in organising specialized courses to a variety of Court and non-Court personnel. The training topics provided included orientation and induction courses, updates on new EU directives and local legislation.
The implementation of a new e-Government service called ‘Judicial Sale by Auction’ is another addition to the other e-Government Court Services already available.
